I am a 21 year-old student from Finland.

It makes me sad to hear how Americans are suffering.

Here, our taxes are high but we all benefit from them.

I grew up in the countryside and always had access to the same services that people in the city did.

My university is known around the world in my field and my education is not only free, but my government pays ME to go to university. Everyone has a right to this.

Everyone has a right to the best healthcare, there is no such thing as health insurance.

I am young now and able to take risks and pursue my passion because I will never have to worry about starving if I loose my job or my business fails.

I know that when I am old my state pension will be there for me so that I can enjoy my retirement.

We call this the Nordic Model, and under it we live well and our businesses are among the most competitive in the world. I am grateful to have been born a citizen of a country that cares for its people, and I hope that one day the USA will take example from us.

I am the 99%.

Jewel to play June Carter Cash

Didn’t Reese Witherspoon already play June Carter Cash?

Yes, seven years ago. She won an Oscar for her work in the film Walk the Line.

But that’s not stopping Lifetime from telling the story again. The cable network has greenlighted the The June Carter Cash Story (working title), starring Jewel.

The television movie will be based on John Carter Cash’s narrative of his mother’s life, Anchored in Love: An Intimate Portrait of June Carter Cash.

According to a release, Jewel will take on the role of the legendary country artist in a heartfelt telling of the famous singer’s life from her beginnings to her turbulent, yet enduring, marriage to Johnny Cash. He’ll be played by Matt Ross ofAmerican Horror Story and Big Love fame.

Filming will start early this summer in Atlanta, with the movie slated to premiere later this year.

Rob Sharenow, Lifetime exec, explains in the release that this will be more about June than anything else. “Many people know about the legendary love story of Johnny and June. But June Carter Cash has her own epic journey filled with triumphs, tragedies, loves and losses. This movie will explore all aspects of the woman behind the icon, and we’re thrilled Jewel will be playing the title role.”
