My religion teacher introduced me to the works ofTeilhard de Chardin today, who is actually a descent of Voltaire. He was a leading thinker of 20th century cosmology, blending his Jesuit priesthood with paleontology and evolutionary biology.
With the fall of the Dantonists nearly upon us, I find this quote of his particularly relevant.
“Driven by the forces of love, the fragments of the world seek each other so that the world may come to being.”
A picture to close with.
